Senior Controls Engineer – PLC / Industrial Automation | Orlando, FL (Onsite) Salary: $110K–$140K + Bonus + ESOP Schedule: 100% Onsite | ~10% Travel We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead PLC programming, electrical design, and control system integration for large-scale automation projects. This is a hands-on role focused on designing systems from scratch and supporting startup/commissioning across industrial and entertainment environments. Key Responsibilities Design PLC/DCS control systems (hardware, software, networks) from concept to commissioning Program PLCs ( Allen-Bradley / Rockwell, Siemens ) using Ladder Logic & Structured Text Develop electrical panels, power calculations, and system layouts Lead system integration, startup, troubleshooting, and commissioning Perform hazard analysis and safety system design (SIL/PL) Create documentation: schematics, I/O lists, network diagrams, test plans Required Qualifications 8–10+ years Controls / Automation Engineering experience Strong PLC programming from scratch (Rockwell or Siemens) Experience with industrial automation, manufacturing, or system integration Solid knowledge of control hardware, instrumentation, and distributed I/O Hands-on commissioning & troubleshooting experience Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Preferred AutoCAD for electrical/control system design Experience with safety-critical systems (SIL/PL, ASTM) Motion control or attractions/ride systems Why Join 100% Employee-Owned (ESOP) – long-term wealth building ENR Top 500 firm & leading System Integrator Work on complex, large-scale automation projects Full benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Tuition
