Location: Fully Remote (California-based) Compensation: $140,000 – $180,000 About the Firm A California-based family law firm focused exclusively on sophisticated family law matters, including high-net-worth divorce and complex asset division. The firm operates on a fully remote model with dedicated infrastructure supporting attorneys across administrative, billing, and marketing functions. The firm has grown significantly in recent years and is focused on adding experienced attorneys who are looking for a long-term, collaborative environment. Role Overview We are seeking an Associate Family Law Attorney with 2–4 years of hands-on California family law experience. Candidates must have foundational family law knowledge, including dissolution, support calculations, and custody frameworks. This role offers structured mentorship, hands-on training, and a clear path for professional growth. Associates will focus purely on practicing family law, with no administrative or collections duties, and will receive guidance and support to develop their skills and advance within the firm. Key Responsibilities Manage family law cases under supervision, including dissolution, custody, and support matters Draft legal documents: marital settlement agreements, declarations, motions (writing samples required) Participate in hearings and court proceedings (court experience preferred) Collaborate with a collegial team focused on mentorship and growth Grow professional skills under structured training with clear promotion paths Required Qualifications 2–4 years of California family law experience Active California Bar membership JD from an accredited law school Foundational family law knowledge (dissolution, custody, support, asset/debt matters) Legal drafting skills: MSAs, declarations, motions (writing samples required) Client-focused, empathetic, coachable, and collaborative Preferred Qualifications Court experience is a plus Steady tenure at prior firms demonstrating commitment and growth Interest in a firm prioritizing female attorneys and team cohesion What the Firm Offers Focused family law practice: no administrative, collections, or secondary responsibilities Fully remote structure with shared office spaces for depositions/mediations as needed Structured mentorship and heavy investment in associate growth Transparent promotion track with clear expectations and rapid advancement Collegial, supportive, team-oriented culture Competitive compensation reflecting experience and clear advancement potential About Sperton This Position is Sponsored by Sperton Global, a recruitment and consulting company with an international reach.
