About the position

Introduction A bespoke Tour Operator for sub- Saharan Africa, Asia, South America and Antarctica is looking for a Lodge Manager Duties & Responsibilities Key Outputs Daily Operations: Responsible for day-to-day operations of the lodge, including all aspects that affect the guest experience. Product Innovation: Build upon the existing guest experience to create new ideas and ensure the product remains fresh and modern, while staying true to the history of the area (includes guest delights, accommodation, food, staff, and activities). Guest Relations: Focus on building relationships with new and repeat guests. Brand Integrity: Maintain and reinforce an environment where the &Beyond Golden Thread and Brand Standards are continuously met and visible throughout the daily functioning of the property. Property Management: Ensure lodge "to-do" lists are actioned and completed within budget. Hospitality Metrics: Support the HOD Team where required to ensure that Guest Scores are reached and exceeded. Training & Development: Establish training needs across departments; formulate plans to assess, evaluate, and measure training. Establish a skills matrix for all staff and prioritize execution. Ethic of Care: Promote and instill an ethic of Guest Care and Guest interaction throughout all departments. Guest Delight: Closely manage all guest delight activities together with other management, butlers, guides, housekeepers, and other staff. Monthly Planning: Assist with planning regarding training, guest requirements, and staffing levels. Desired Experience & Qualification Required Experience Service Industry: Proven experience in the service industry, especially in dealing with guests and staff. Leadership: Previous experience in running a five-star operation as a Lodge Manager or similar role for 5 or more years . Education: A formal qualification in Hospitality or Business Management. Personal Characteristics Excellent command of the English language. An outgoing, warm, and friendly personality. Confident and comfortable interacting with affluent people. Well-presented, honest, diligent, and a self-motivator. Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Interested?
