Senior Account Manager - Centurion

About the position

Introduction The purpose of this role is to reach sales targets through hunting within your base and the broader market. This ensures our fair share of market share by executing strategy through a defined process, delivering the defined customer experience. Duties & Responsibilities Critical Outputs 1. Achieve Sales Targets (Get the Number) Achieve sales targets per customer and product line within the allocated territory Ensure all deals align with our product line guidelines unless otherwise approved by executives Understand current wallet share per customer and technology, and grow to agreed targets Expand contact surface across customers (Product, Pre-Sales, Sales, Retention, Service & Carrier Management Services) Maintain top-of-mind presence through selling to , with , and through the territory Maintain an accurate pipeline with sufficient coverage to meet monthly targets, accounting for slippage Ensure deals are properly qualified with customers for accurate commitment Proactively manage churn and potential revenue loss Deliver accurate and timely sales forecasts Grow client portfolio by acquiring new clients monthly 2. Execute Strategy Develop and manage signed-off account plans aligned to annual forecasts (links and revenues) Use deep customer insights to acquire, retain, and grow profitable customers Ensure delivery and measurement of agreed Customer Experience within the territory Build and reinforce our brand and value proposition across the value chain Take accountability for commercial, operational, and customer satisfaction targets Influence customer buying criteria to drive Comsol solutions Educate customers on our value proposition and differentiators Submit accurate and timely weekly territory reports Participate in customer steering committees (product, pre-sales, sales) Deepen understanding of customer businesses and industries Contribute to ongoing brand positioning within South Africa Ensure all current services are under contract Develop and execute structured customer call plans (meeting types and objectives) Create and execute a territory go-to-market plan aligned to company strategy Drive customer adoption of automation and self-service capabilities (SNOW) 3. Follow Defined Processes Ensure all customer engagements are professional, structured, and documented (agendas, minutes, actions signed off) Progress opportunities efficiently through sales stages and probabilities (SNOW) Adhere strictly to the sales process and maintain accurate CRM data (SNOW) Follow Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) to ensure responsiveness Use up-to-date, personalized communication and quoting templates Own all customer interactions until Order Entry (OE) is created 4. Deliver Customer Value Proactively engage customers Align business solutions to customer needs Consistently exceed customer expectations Desired Experience & Qualification Requirements Matric (essential) Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous) Strong understanding of the telecommunications industry Experience working with key channels and customers Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to learn and use CRM and productivity tools Minimum 5 years' Account Management experience Core Competencies Interpersonal skills Planning and organizing Problem-solving Resilience Persuasiveness Negotiation skills Customer service orientation Business acumen Action orientation Self-motivation Proactiveness Strong verbal and written communication Strong drive to hunt for new business and customers
