Key Accounts Manager - Cape Town

About the position

Introduction Purpose of the Position Execute activities to retain customers and grow the business in alignment with the overall business strategy . Duties & Responsibilities Key Outputs 1. Reactive Interventions Actions should focus on reducing reactive interventions . Responsibilities include: Implementing appropriate problem-solving and damage-control actions to satisfy the customer. Ensuring all actions are accurate and timeous according to customer expectations. Consistently following up and closing the loop with clients. 2. Proactive Interventions Actions should focus on increasing proactive engagement . Responsibilities include: Proactively engaging with clients to maintain customer loyalty and promote our brand . Implementing creative and innovative customer engagement strategies while controlling costs. Ensuring actions are tailored to individual clients to increase their value and impact. 3. Client Management & Relationship Development Proactively negotiate rate increases with clients when applicable. Conduct monthly KPI meetings with customers to review both: our performance The client's performance Any operational issues. 4. Sales Targets Maintain full awareness and support of: Monthly sales targets Quarterly sales targets Annual sales targets Plan, direct, and coordinate customer identification and sales activities to achieve individual sales targets. 5. Product & Service Knowledge Maintain a comprehensive and current understanding of our services and operations in order to: Meet or exceed customer needs and expectations during the sales process. 6. Sales Proposals Prepare professional and accurate proposals that: Promote our brand Facilitate the sales process. 7. Negotiation Negotiate pricing structures to the benefit of both: The customer The company. 8. Business Analysis & Decision Support Accurate interpretation of account data to: Identify underlying challenges Find appropriate solutions Identify priority areas Form the basis for sound business decisions Support client retention strategies 9. Administration & Reporting Ensure all sales and retention administration and records are current and accurate . Provide timeous and accurate input for Sales and Retention reports. Provide monthly minutes of meetings held with customers to the Sales and Retention Manager and other relevant stakeholders. Desired Experience & Qualification Requirements Grade 12 / Matric Exceptional verbal and written communication Strong interpersonal skills Ability to multitask Minimum 2 years experience in Key Accounts Management Ability to work within a team and take responsibility Advanced MS Excel and MS Word skills Valid driver's license Strong negotiation skills Fully vaccinated Own transport essential
