Service Technician

About the position

ROLE OVERVIEW: A growing industrial organization is seeking a Service Technician to support repair, calibration, field service, training, and demonstration activities for specialized equipment. This role involves both in-shop and field-based work, including travel to customer sites and offshore locations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while delivering high-quality service and support. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Repair and Service Inspect, repair, and calibrate equipment both in-house and in the field Perform diagnostics and ensure tools meet performance standards Field Service Travel up to 40 percent of the time to customer and offshore locations Operate equipment on-site and support customer applications Training and Demonstration Provide training and product demonstrations to customers Support sales efforts through technical expertise and customer interaction Inventory and Documentation Maintain accurate service records and track parts usage Assist with inventory management and physical inventory counts Tool Preparation and Fabrication Modify and prepare toolkits and equipment cases, including painting and labeling Support preparation and logistics for trade shows and exhibitions Customer Support Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical support as needed Maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication Additional Duties Perform product conversions based on production requirements Provide backup support to other operational areas as needed QUALIFICATIONS: Hands-on mechanical or technical experience in equipment repair or field service Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Strong organizational and time management skills Effective communication skills with both internal teams and customers Valid driver's license and ability to rent vehicles for travel Willingness to travel up to 40 percent, including potential offshore assignments WORK REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and lifting Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions Ability to work in a team environment and maintain professionalism at all times Maintain regular attendance and adhere to safety standards EQUAL OPPORTUNITY STATEMENT: Nova Talent Solutions partners with clients who are committed to equal employment opportunity.
