PostgreSQL DBA (with French)

About the position

PostgreSQL DBA (with French) We are looking for a highly skilled Senior PostgreSQL Engineer to join our partner's team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing and maintaining PostgreSQL databases in high-performance, mission-critical environments. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain high-performance PostgreSQL databases Optimize SQL queries and improve database performance (tuning, indexing, execution plans) Manage high availability setups (replication, clustering, failover mechanisms) Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security Participate in database migrations and architecture improvements Implement backup and recovery strategies Work closely with development teams to optimize data access patterns Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues Document processes, configurations, and best practices Technical Requirements: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL in production environments Advanced level of French – mandatory Good command of technical English Solid experience with: Replication (streaming and logical replication) Data partitioning Advanced indexing strategies Good knowledge of Linux systems Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar) Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker; Kubernetes is a plus).
