APAC Category Manager (Chemical Plant)

About the position

RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for all strategic sourcing activities for the manufacturing facility in APAC To assure the supply security of long-term raw material requirements Formulate category strategies and negotiation strategy and pricing strategy to negotiate for long term supply contracts and necessary amendments. • Manage the supply contracts via pipeline, vessel, truck for the production requirements and ensure pricing, quality and delivery conditions meeting the agreed contractual conditions. • Manage supplier and external relationship – existing and other suppliers/producers, traders, market consultants in the market. • Work closely with Operation Buyer in Procurement Operations to ensure smooth process of the entire chain. • Manage of resales of excess supplies and assist product sales. • Manage internal stakeholder relationship and respective requirements. Internal stakeholders are Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, Controlling. Manage and analyse market intelligent for Asia. Work and share market information with colleagues in China Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with 10 years of related experience in chemical industry Strong team player with effective communication skills across a global multi-functional and diverse cultural organization. Enthusiastic about the products and positive attitude. Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines. Must be willing to travel when required.
