About the position

Job Title: DevOps Engineer Experience: 3–10+ years in DevOps / Cloud Engineering Location: Melbourne / Canberra / Brisbane (Hybrid) Job Type: Contract Job Summary: We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with strong experience in cloud-native development, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD pipelines. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and efficient environments across cloud and hybrid platforms. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment workflows Work with AWS services including Fargate, CloudWatch, and IAM to manage containerised workloads Develop automation scripts using Python for orchestration and integration Provision infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and YAML Manage hybrid environments using VMware vRealize Automation (vRA) Implement monitoring and observability using CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana Integrate alerting tools such as AWS SNS and xMatters Apply security best practices including RBAC, secrets management, and compliance automation Support encryption, PKI, and secure communication practices Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive DevOps adoption and best practices Contribute to microservices and API-driven architecture implementations Key Requirements: Strong experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native technologies Hands-on expertise with AWS and infrastructure automation tools Proficiency in Python scripting Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools Understanding of security, compliance, and FinOps practices Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills Important Note: Active Baseline Security Clearance is mandatory
