Key Responsibilities of an ER Registered Nurse (RN) Provide rapid assessment, triage, and treatment for emergency patients in a high-pressure environment. Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to diverse medical emergencies. Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond effectively to critical situations. Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in electronic health records. Support ongoing emergency department initiatives, safety protocols, and quality improvement efforts.
