Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Acute Care Port Charlotte, Florida Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (Dec 30, 2025 – Mar 31, 2026) Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,626.96 Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8 Hours (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) Position Overview Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for an acute care hospital setting at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital . This role focuses on inpatient physical therapy services , including evaluations and treatment planning for a diverse patient population in a collaborative hospital environment. Facility Information Facility: HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital Location: Port Charlotte, FL Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital Total Beds: 253 (includes 20-bed inpatient rehab unit) Department: Inpatient Physical Therapy Charting System: Meditech Clinical Responsibilities Perform PT evaluations and treatments for inpatient population Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs Treat patients with mobility, functional, and post-acute conditions Work with interdisciplinary teams (PT, OT, SLP) Monitor and adjust treatment plans Maintain accurate and compliant documentation Clinical Highlights Patient Load: 9–10 patients/day Productivity Standard: 75% Setting: Acute care + inpatient rehab exposure Team Size: ~20 PT staff Required Qualifications Active Florida PT License MPT or DPT Degree Acute Care Experience – REQUIRED Preferred Qualifications Meditech EMR experience ICU experience Scheduling & Assignment Details Schedule: 5x8 Day Shifts Hours: 40 hours/week Weekend: Every other weekend Holidays: Rotational coverage required Facility Notes Modern 253-bed acute care hospital Includes inpatient rehab unit Collaborative and supportive therapy team Exposure to varied patient conditions Why Consider This Assignment Acute care hospital experience Consistent patient volume Strong team environment Florida locationAbout the company
