Travel / Contract Physical Therapist (PT) – Developmental Center Mount Vernon, Ohio Contract Duration: 52 Weeks (April 4, 2026 – April 4, 2027) Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,247.52 Schedule: Day Shift | Flexible | Up to 24 Hours/Week (2–3 Days) Position Overview Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for a long-term contract opportunity at a state-run developmental center in Mount Vernon, OH. This role focuses on evaluating and treating individuals with developmental and functional impairments. The therapist will design and implement individualized rehabilitation programs aimed at improving mobility, independence, and overall quality of life. This is a flexible, part-time assignment ideal for candidates seeking consistent long-term work with a manageable schedule. Facility Information Facility Type: State Developmental Center Patient Population: Individuals with developmental and neurological conditions Work Setting: Clinical / Rehabilitation Services Contract Type: Staff Augmentation (State of Ohio) Clinical Coverage Areas Therapists will work with patients requiring: Functional mobility improvement Neurological rehabilitation Gait training and balance therapy Range of motion and strength development Long-term rehabilitative support Key Responsibilities Conduct patient evaluations using standardized assessments Perform range of motion, gait, and functional analysis Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans Monitor and reassess patient progress regularly Adjust therapy programs based on outcomes and clinical findings Maintain accurate documentation and patient records Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams Participate in treatment planning discussions and case reviews Support training and supervision of PT assistants, aides, and students Required Qualifications Active Ohio Physical Therapist License Experience in rehabilitation, neurological, or developmental settings Strong assessment and treatment planning skills Ability to work independently in a flexible schedule environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in developmental centers or long-term care settings Background in neurological or functional rehabilitation Experience supervising PTAs or students Scheduling & Assignment Details Flexible schedule (up to 2–3 days per week) Up to 24 hours per week based on facility needs Day shift hours (typically between 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM or similar) Long-term 52-week contract stability Important Notes No maximum bill rate – competitive offers encouraged Ideal for local and reliable candidates Flexible part-time structure with long-term continuity Opportunity to contribute to state healthcare programs Compliance Requirements Candidates must complete all onboarding requirements including: Active state licensure verification Skills checklist and competency validation Background and state compliance requirements Participation in required training and in-services Why Consider This Assignment Long-term 52-week contract stability Flexible part-time schedule Meaningful work with underserved populations Opportunity to work within a state healthcare system Consistent, low-stress clinical environment
