Client Accountant

About the position

A Malta-based company specialising in corporate services, compliance, and financial management solutions is currently looking for a Client Accountant to join their team. The company focuses on supporting businesses with regulatory, tax, and administrative requirements both locally and internationally. This is a hybrid role offering a salary of up to €40K + annual performance bonus , depending on experience. Role & Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of clients across various industries Build and maintain strong relationships, ensuring high-quality service and client satisfaction Ensure accounting records for a portfolio of clients comply with accounting standards Complete VAT returns, tax returns, and management accounts, and liaise with auditors Manage workflows and deadlines Lead projects and financial reporting tasks Liaise with authorities on behalf of clients Mentor and support junior team members by reviewing their work and maintaining communication and motivation in line with company values Assist with client onboarding and recommend process improvements Identify growth opportunities Education, Skills and Experience ACCA qualified or equivalent 2+ years of experience in client-facing roles, ideally within a CSP environment Proficient in English (written and spoken); fluency in another language besides Maltese is a plus Strong knowledge of Maltese VAT and tax legislation Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Extensive knowledge of IFRS or locally accepted accounting standards High integrity and discretion when handling confidential information Experience with Xero or other cloud-based accounting software is an asset About the Role Salary of up to €40K, depending on experience, plus annual performance bonus Hybrid working in Ta' Xbiex – 3 days on-site, 2 days WFH Health insurance Car fringe benefit Corporate discounts Apply with your detailed CV. *JobMatchingPartner Limited is a recruitment agency licenced in Malta, EU with licence no EA00340-2024.
