Supplier Quality Engineer | Plainwell, MI Salary Range: $77,000 - $110,000 depending on experience Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for excelling in supplier quality engineer? Key Responsibilities Conduct supplier audits and assessments to qualify new suppliers and ensure adherence to quality standards. Manage and approve supplier PPAP submissions for new product introductions and engineering changes. Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier non-conformances using tools like 8D. Monitor and report on key supplier quality performance metrics and drive improvement initiatives. Lead supplier development activities to improve quality systems, processes, and overall performance. Collaborate with engineering and purchasing teams on supplier selection and risk mitigation. Ensure supplier compliance with internal quality requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. 3+ years of experience in Supplier Quality or Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO 13485). Proficiency in core quality tools (e.g., PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D Root Cause Analysis). Demonstrated ability to conduct supplier audits and assessments. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Bonus Qualifications - Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software and analysis. - Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies. - Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management system standards. - Experience with root cause analysis tools such as 8D or FMEA. - Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Minitab, Tableau).
