The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Montague region seeking Staff Accountants. Key Responsibilities Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations. Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. Support inventory accounting, including cycle counting, variance analysis, and valuation. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations. Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Participate in internal control testing and compliance activities. Provide support for audits and tax filings. Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing accounting environment. Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills. Experience with inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports for management. Bonus Qualifications - Experience with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365). - Familiarity with cost accounting principles and inventory valuation methods specific to manufacturing environments. - Knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and bill of materials (BOM) reconciliation. - Experience with SOX compliance and internal control documentation within a manufacturing setting.
