Key Responsibilities - Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. - Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices and payments. - Support the month-end and year-end closing processes. - Participate in inventory valuation and reconciliation. - Help with the preparation of tax filings and other regulatory reports. - Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls. - Support the audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations. - Analyze manufacturing variances and provide explanations for discrepancies. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks Enterprise) and Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles. Experience with inventory valuation, fixed asset accounting, and variance analysis. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Bonus Qualifications - Experience with inventory valuation methods (e.g., FIFO, LIFO, weighted average). - Familiarity with cost accounting principles and practices within a manufacturing environment. - Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) for financial data management. - Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and internal controls. - Certification such as CPA or CMA.
