Key Responsibilities - Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger postings. - Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. - Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and collections. - Participate in inventory valuation and cost accounting activities, including variance analysis. - Aid in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and audit schedules. - Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies and procedures. - Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience with cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard costing. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Bonus Qualifications - Experience with ERP systems common in manufacturing environments (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor). - Familiarity with cost accounting principles and standard costing methodologies. - Certification such as CPA or CMA. - Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, macros) for data analysis. - Experience with inventory valuation methods (e.g., FIFO, LIFO, weighted-average) in a manufacturing context.
