The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Coopersville that are seeking skilled Staff Accountants. Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes. Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment application. Participate in inventory accounting, including cycle counts, variance analysis, and cost accounting. Prepare journal entries and ensure accuracy of financial data. Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel. Experience with inventory valuation methods and standard costing. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Bonus Qualifications - Experience with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). - Understanding of inventory valuation methods (FIFO, LIFO, Weighted Average) and their impact on financial statements. - Familiarity with standard costing and variance analysis. - Experience with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules. - Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and data analysis tools.
