Key Responsibilities Oversee daily shop floor operations to ensure efficient production flow and adherence to schedules. Manage and mentor production staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions. Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure and compliant work environment. Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, coordinating with procurement and logistics. Ensure quality control standards are met throughout the manufacturing process, addressing any non-conformities. Maintain and troubleshoot production machinery and equipment, coordinating maintenance and repair schedules. Develop and manage the shop's operational budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, sales, and planning, to optimize production and meet customer demands. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience in manufacturing operations management. Strong leadership and team management skills. In-depth knowledge of production processes and quality control. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement. Proficiency in inventory management and supply chain logistics.
