Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing shop floor, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity. Supervise, train, and mentor a team of shop floor employees, assigning tasks and monitoring performance. Implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures to maintain a secure work environment. Ensure quality standards are met for all manufactured products, conducting inspections and addressing deviations. Manage and maintain shop floor equipment, scheduling preventative maintenance and repairs. Coordinate with other departments, such as production planning and engineering, to meet project deadlines and requirements. Control and manage shop floor inventory of materials and supplies, ordering as needed. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety protocols. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a workforce. Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making, with a focus on efficiency and quality. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production schedules. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
