Key Responsibilities Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring production targets are met efficiently. Supervise, train, and mentor a team of production staff, fostering a productive work environment. Maintain equipment and machinery, coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance schedules. Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality control standards throughout the production process. Manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods, optimizing stock levels. Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime. Coordinate with other departments, such as engineering and logistics, to ensure smooth workflow. Monitor and report on production metrics, identifying areas for improvement. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience in a manufacturing shop floor environment, with a strong understanding of production processes and machinery. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of skilled tradespeople. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a knack for identifying and resolving production issues efficiently. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices within a manufacturing setting. Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
