Key Responsibilities Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules. Manage and supervise a team of shop floor employees, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, implementing and enforcing safety procedures. Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance and repair activities to minimize downtime. Maintain inventory levels of materials and supplies, placing orders as needed. Inspect work in progress and finished products to ensure quality standards are met. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to resolve problems. Collaborate with engineering and management to implement process improvements and new initiatives. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of production processes and machinery. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a crew. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address production issues effectively. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with management, employees, and other departments. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production schedules.
