The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Allegan seeking Quality Inspectors who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process parts, and finished products. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify adherence to specifications. Interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand quality requirements and tolerances. Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, maintaining detailed records of accepted and rejected items. Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate rejection procedures and corrective action requests. Conduct first-article inspections (FAI) and in-process checks to ensure manufacturing processes meet quality standards. Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement preventive measures. Recommended Qualifications Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a quality control or inspection role within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Demonstrated skill in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM). Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, SPC). Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills to identify defects and non-conformances. Ability to accurately document inspection results and communicate findings effectively. Bonus Qualifications Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis. Certification in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies. Experience in calibrating inspection tools and equipment.
