Conduct testing and validation of packaging to ensure product protection, shelf life, and shipping integrity. Identify and implement cost reduction and efficiency improvements in packaging materials and processes. Collaborate with suppliers to source and qualify packaging materials and components. Ensure all packaging complies with industry regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements. Provide technical support and troubleshoot packaging-related issues on the production line. Manage packaging projects from concept development through to successful implementation. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. 3+ years of experience in packaging development or engineering within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for package design and a strong understanding of various packaging materials. Experience with packaging testing methodologies (e.g., ISTA, ASTM) and relevant quality standards. Demonstrated ability to manage packaging projects from concept through to production launch. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency with packaging design software such as CAPE or TOPS. Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) certification. Experience with sustainable packaging materials and design principles. Familiarity with automated packaging line integration.
