Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement innovative packaging solutions for new and existing products. Optimize packaging materials and processes to improve cost-efficiency, sustainability, and quality. Conduct rigorous testing and validation of packaging designs and materials to ensure product protection and regulatory compliance. Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and supply chain teams on packaging projects. Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues on the production line to minimize downtime and waste. Ensure all packaging designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements. Manage packaging projects from concept to launch, including timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. 3+ years of experience in packaging development or engineering within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in packaging materials (e.g., corrugated, plastics, paperboard) and their manufacturing processes. Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for packaging design and specification. Demonstrated ability to design, test, and optimize packaging for manufacturability, cost, and sustainability. Bonus Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification. Experience with sustainable packaging materials and design principles. Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for packaging design. Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
