The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Cadillac seeking Packaging Engineers who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and qualify packaging materials and systems for new and existing products. Optimize current packaging for cost reduction, performance improvement, and sustainability initiatives. Conduct material testing, validation, and performance analysis for packaging components. Collaborate with manufacturing, R&D, marketing, and supply chain teams to integrate packaging solutions. Ensure all packaging designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues on the production line and in the field. Manage packaging development projects from concept through commercialization. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. 3-5 years of experience in packaging development or engineering within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and a strong understanding of various packaging materials. Demonstrated knowledge of packaging testing standards (e.g., ISTA, ASTM) and quality control processes. Experience with packaging line integration, automation, and supply chain optimization. Bonus Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification. Experience with packaging line automation or robotics integration. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI). Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Demonstrated experience with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) or advanced sustainable packaging strategies.
