The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Fremont seeking NPI Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new products. Design, procure, and qualify production tooling, fixtures, and equipment. Collaborate with R&D and Design teams to ensure product manufacturability (DFM). Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and BOMs. Lead pilot production runs, process validation, and first article inspection. Identify, analyze, and mitigate manufacturing risks during new product introduction. Facilitate the smooth transfer of new products from engineering to mass production. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering. 3-5+ years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) or manufacturing engineering within a production environment. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and demonstrated application of DFM/DFA principles. Experience with process development, tooling design, and equipment validation. Strong understanding of manufacturing quality systems (e.g., ISO, GMP) and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC). Bonus Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification. Experience with advanced automation or robotics integration in manufacturing processes. Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab) for Design of Experiments (DOE) and process capability studies. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Experience with advanced simulation tools (e.g., FEA, Mold Flow) for design validation and DFM.
