Accurately estimate material, labor, tooling, and overhead costs for manufacturing projects. Collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teams to gather necessary information. Develop and present competitive, detailed proposals and quotes to customers. Manage quote revisions, negotiations, and follow-up activities to secure orders. Maintain accurate records of all quotes, pricing data, and customer communications. Identify and implement improvements to the quoting process and tools. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Proven experience in cost estimation, pricing strategies, and margin analysis for manufactured goods. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production methodologies. Advanced proficiency with ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and quote generation. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for customer and internal stakeholder engagement. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex quotes with high accuracy and attention to detail under deadlines. Bonus Qualifications Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex data analysis and modeling. Familiarity with specific manufacturing ERP/CRM quoting modules (e.g., SAP, Salesforce CPQ). Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or basic CAD models. Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
