About the Role As Production Manager, you will serve as the operational leader responsible for overseeing production and production-support teams while driving improvements in manufacturing efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery. This role works closely with company ownership to modernize operations, implement structured production systems, and build a high-performing manufacturing organization during a critical phase of growth and operational enhancement. Key Responsibilities Lead production and production-support teams across the manufacturing operation Develop and maintain a high-performing shop floor culture focused on accountability and problem solving Design and maintain an effective shop-floor supervisory structure Manage staffing levels, employee performance standards, and workforce development Implement operational data systems integrating ERP, manufacturing, quality, and equipment data Analyze production workflows to improve efficiency, throughput, and overall performance Lead continuous improvement initiatives driven by operational data and metrics Oversee maintenance and sustainment of production equipment and facilities Coordinate with engineering teams to transition prototype designs into scalable production Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and customers to resolve production issues as needed Requirements Approximately 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment Experience in production management, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or operations leadership Hands-on shop-floor experience in a manufacturing setting Strong leadership and team development capabilities Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Experience implementing structured operational processes and continuous improvement initiatives Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field Experience in structured manufacturing environments Familiarity with ISO-style quality systems or regulated manufacturing environments Exposure to sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, or similar fabrication processes What We Offer Competitive base salary of $135,000 – $165,000 , plus performance-based bonus Full benefits package including paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and 401(k) Opportunity to work directly with company ownership in a key leadership role Modern, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in San Jose Ability to drive operational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives Long-term growth opportunity within a high-performing precision manufacturing organization
