Cluster Director of Housekeeping (Resort Operations)

Cluster Director of Housekeeping Location: Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic Industry: Hospitality / Resort Operations Operational Scope: Approximately 500 staff members Property Scale: 6 lodging units within the same resort complex – approximately 1,200 hotel keys Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Cluster Director of Housekeeping to oversee housekeeping operations across a large resort complex consisting of multiple lodging units. This executive-level role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction across all rooms, public areas, laundry facilities, and back-of-house operations. The role will also focus on team leadership, operational standardization, and service quality control while supporting the strategic objectives of the resorts corporate leadership. This position reports directly to Corporate General Management . Key Responsibilities Strategic Talent Management Coordinate recruitment, training, onboarding, and performance evaluation of housekeeping personnel. Develop leadership capabilities within supervisory and management teams. Support continuous training programs to improve operational efficiency and service quality. Oversee large operational teams within a complex hospitality environment. Housekeeping Operations Management Ensure all guest rooms are clean, inspected, and ready on schedule for arrivals. Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, order, presentation, and ambiance throughout: Guest rooms Public areas Laundry facilities Back-of-house areas Monitor operational performance and quality standards across all lodging units. Operational Standardization Implement and standardize operational policies, procedures, manuals, and service routines across the resort complex. Optimize housekeeping processes to improve efficiency, turnaround times, and quality consistency . Coordinate operational alignment between different lodging units within the property. Guest Experience Management Monitor and address guest complaints, service incidents, and special requests . Ensure exceptional service for: VIP guests Long-stay guests Group reservations and events Collaborate with guest services and front office teams to ensure a seamless guest experience. Conflict Resolution & Interdepartmental Coordination Manage operational and personnel conflicts in a professional and effective manner. Coordinate closely with key departments including: Front Office Maintenance Operations Guest Experience Ensure smooth collaboration across all operational areas of the resort. Professional Requirements Experience Minimum 10+ years of experience in hospitality operations . Proven experience managing housekeeping departments within large resorts or hotels . Experience supervising large operational teams in complex hospitality environments . Education Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration , or a related field is preferred.
