Key Responsibilities Oversee daily fabrication operations, ensuring production schedules are met. Ensure all fabricated products adhere to quality standards and specifications. Lead, train, and mentor a team of fabrication technicians. Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices in the fabrication area. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to fabrication processes and equipment. Manage material inventory and optimize resource allocation for fabrication projects. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Recommended Qualifications Minimum 5 years of hands-on fabrication experience in a manufacturing setting, including expertise in welding, cutting, and forming. Proven leadership or supervisory experience managing a team of fabricators, including scheduling and task delegation. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Strong knowledge of various metals, their properties, and best practices for fabrication processes. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high safety standards and quality control protocols in a fabrication environment. Ability to troubleshoot fabrication challenges and implement effective solutions to optimize production efficiency. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Experience with Lean Manufacturing or other continuous improvement methodologies. Advanced welding certifications (e.g., CWI, specific AWS certifications). Hands-on experience with CNC fabrication equipment operation or programming.
