Senior Identity Security Engineer

About the position

Location: Dublin (Hybrid – 1 day per week in the office) Contract: 12-month contract Interview Process: tech assessment with Amach 3 interviews with the client We are looking for a Senior Identity Security Engineer to take ownership of the organisation's identity security and IAM platforms , including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), Privileged Access Management, and Identity Governance . The role sits within the Cyber Engineering & Architecture function and focuses on ensuring secure management and governance of digital identities across employees, contractors, and machine identities. The successful candidate will define identity security standards, oversee IAM platforms, and drive improvements in identity lifecycle management, privileged access controls, and identity security architecture. The MUST HAVES for this role are: 12+ years industry experience , including 8+ years in identity/IAM roles Strong hands-on experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) Experience implementing IAM lifecycle and IGA platforms Experience with Privileged Access Management Strong understanding of IAM principles (least privilege, RBAC, access reviews, segregation of duties) Experience implementing Zero Trust identity controls Automation mindset (e.g. PowerShell or similar scripting ) Experience working with enterprise identity architecture and governance Identity Technologies Experience with one or more of the following: SailPoint CyberArk BeyondTrust Microsoft Defender for Identity CrowdStrike Identity Silverfort Certifications (preferred) Examples include: Microsoft Identity / Security certifications CISSP / CISM / CRISC / CIAM Nice to Have Identity threat detection and SOC integration Governance of non-human identities Knowledge of modern authentication protocols
