IGBT Power Module Director

About the position

My client is a strong IDM (Integrated Device Manufacturer) in China. Job Responsibilities: Drive a dedicated team to create innovative power modules for a variety of applications such as power supplies and traction drives and using potentially wide band gap semiconductors devices. Drive the development of power modules for inverters used in traction drives, focusing on voltages from 650V, 1200V and 1700V, both for low and high current. Create concepts and design specifications for new power modules. This should include all aspects (thermal, mechanical, electrical) necessary to meet the targeted applications and customers requirements. Drive and support the designs during the initial prototype phase of power modules. This would include all CAD work (mechanical, thermal, electrical) through use of Solidworks, Ansys, SPICE or equivalent software tools. Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve module performance and reliability. Plan and set up test benches for design verification (developer tests) Perform developer tests, including analyzing and documenting the results Drive power module roadmap, in concert with business line and device RnD. Program management to lead team efficiently Job Requirements: Degree from a technical university (Master / PhD) in the field of semiconductors / electronics or electrical engineering / technical physics At least 5 years experience, preferably in the field of semiconductor and power modules in particular Knowledge of power electronics, semiconductor devices and thermal management Basic automotive experience highly appreciated Proficient in written and spoken English Program management to lead team efficiently
