Key Responsibilities Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products against specifications and blueprints. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to ensure accuracy and compliance. Document inspection results accurately in quality management systems, including identifying and reporting non-conformances. Identify and quarantine defective materials or products, collaborating with production to resolve quality issues. Verify product compliance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain and perform basic calibration checks on inspection equipment to ensure reliability and accuracy. Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality defects and support corrective action implementation. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and GD&T. Demonstrated experience with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM). Strong understanding of manufacturing quality standards and inspection methodologies. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify product defects. Basic computer skills for data entry, report generation, and using inspection software. Bonus Qualifications Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or other advanced metrology equipment. Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods and software. Basic understanding of CAD software for reviewing part designs and specifications. Prior experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., medical devices, aerospace).
