The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Zeeland seeking Incoming Inspection Technicians who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming raw materials, components, and finished products. Utilize precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to verify adherence to specifications. Compare inspected items against blueprints, engineering drawings, and quality standards. Document inspection results accurately in quality management systems or inspection logs. Identify, segregate, and document non-conforming materials, initiating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as required. Maintain calibration and proper functioning of all inspection equipment and tools. Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and production teams to resolve incoming material quality issues. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Demonstrated skill in using various precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators). Working knowledge of quality control principles and inspection methodologies, preferably in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 environment. Ability to accurately document inspection results and utilize Quality Management System (QMS) or ERP software for data entry. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conforming materials or components. Bonus Qualifications Experience operating or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles. Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems. Prior experience with supplier quality processes or non-conformance resolution.
