Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the finishing department production team. Ensure all finished products meet established quality standards and specifications through regular inspection. Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of finishing operators and technicians. Optimize finishing processes for efficiency, productivity, and waste reduction. Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing company safety policies and procedures. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with finishing equipment and processes. Manage material flow and inventory for finishing operations to prevent delays and minimize waste. Recommended Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing finishing department. Strong technical knowledge of various finishing processes (e.g., painting, coating, assembly, inspection) and associated equipment. Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a production team to achieve quality and output targets. Demonstrated proficiency in implementing and enforcing quality control standards and continuous improvement initiatives. Solid understanding of manufacturing safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Bonus Qualifications Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Experience with automated finishing systems or robotic painting. Proficiency in ERP/MES systems for production scheduling and inventory management. Ability to conduct advanced root cause analysis for finishing defects (e.g., using 8D methodology).
