Accounting Manager

About the position

Position: Accounting Manager Overview A growing and well-established organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations while providing strategic financial insight to leadership. This role combines hands-on accounting management with high-level financial analysis and planning, making it ideal for a professional who is both technically strong and business-oriented. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and helping leadership make informed financial decisions that support long-term growth. Key Responsibilities Financial Analysis & Strategic Insight Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis including variance, trend, and performance analysis Develop financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning initiatives Evaluate operational results and identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue improvement Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership Support scenario planning and financial risk analysis Partner with department leaders to evaluate financial performance and guide resource allocation Financial Reporting Prepare and oversee accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Maintain and enhance internal financial reporting tools, dashboards, and processes Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with outside auditors Develop executive-level financial presentations and leadership reporting Maintain strong internal controls and ensure integrity of financial reporting Accounting Operations Oversee general ledger activities, month-end close processes, and account reconciliations Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed asset accounting Maintain and improve accounting policies and procedures Ensure tax compliance and coordinate with external tax advisors as needed Identify and implement process improvements and support financial system enhancements Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 5+ years of progressive accounting experience , including leadership or supervisory responsibilities Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards Demonstrated financial analysis and modeling capabilities Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills Proven leadership ability and experience developing or mentoring team members Work Environment This position works closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to support sound financial decision-making and operational excellence.
