Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dimensional and visual inspections of first-off production parts. Verify part conformity to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Utilize a range of precision measurement tools including CMM, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. Generate accurate First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) following industry standards like AS9102 or customer requirements. Document all inspection results, including identification and reporting of non-conformances. Interpret complex engineering blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and CAD models. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address and resolve identified quality issues. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, schematics, and specifications. Demonstrated expertise in using a wide range of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, CMM). Strong understanding and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Experience preparing and reviewing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), preferably adhering to AS9102 standards. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing environment. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or equivalent certification. Experience operating or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs). Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
