Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dimensional and visual inspections of first article parts. Verify part conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements. Utilize precision measuring equipment including CMM, calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators. Generate and maintain accurate First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and AS9102 forms. Identify, document, and report non-conformances and discrepancies to relevant teams. Interpret complex blueprints, CAD models, and manufacturing work instructions. Collaborate with engineering and production to address and resolve inspection findings. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in interpreting complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Skilled in using a wide range of precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gages, bore gages, optical comparators). Familiarity with relevant quality standards and documentation requirements (e.g., AS9102, PPAP, ISO 9001). Ability to operate and/or interpret results from Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) or other automated inspection equipment.
