Facilities Manager | Rockford, MI Salary Range: $87,000 - $133,000 depending on experience Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for excelling in facilities manager? The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Rockford seeking Facilities Managers who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage all facility maintenance operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems. Develop and implement robust preventative maintenance programs for manufacturing infrastructure and critical support equipment. Manage facilities budgets, controlling operating expenses and overseeing capital improvement projects. Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) within the manufacturing plant. Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with external vendors, contractors, and service providers. Plan, execute, and oversee facility expansion, renovation, and space optimization projects to support production needs. Implement and monitor energy management and sustainability initiatives to optimize utility costs. Recommended Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in facilities management within a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated expertise in managing complex building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and industrial equipment maintenance. Proven track record in project management, budget oversight, and vendor contract negotiation. Thorough knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) relevant to manufacturing facilities. Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing a diverse team of technicians and support staff. Bonus Qualifications Experience managing facilities in specialized manufacturing environments (e.g., cleanroom, heavy industrial, GMP). Proficiency in CMMS administration, configuration, and optimization. Lean Six Sigma certification or demonstrated experience applying continuous improvement methodologies. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience managing large-scale facility projects.
