Ensure all fabricated components meet quality standards and engineering specifications. Manage daily production schedules to meet manufacturing deadlines and output targets. Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices within the fabrication shop. Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot fabrication challenges and equipment issues. Conduct training and development for team members to enhance skills and productivity. Optimize fabrication processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and continuous improvement. Oversee the maintenance and calibration of fabrication machinery and tools. Recommended Qualifications Extensive hands-on experience in diverse fabrication techniques (e.g., welding, cutting, forming, assembly). Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Strong understanding of quality control standards and safety protocols. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize fabrication processes. Bonus Qualifications Experience with CAD/CAM software for fabrication design and programming. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) or continuous improvement methodologies. Advanced welding certifications (e.g., CWI, specific exotic materials). Proven track record in mentoring and developing junior fabricators.
