Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues. Provide technical support and training to customer personnel on equipment operation. Conduct routine preventive maintenance inspections and calibrations. Document all service activities, repairs, and parts used accurately and timely. Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to resolve recurring technical problems. Manage service parts inventory and tooling required for field assignments. Recommended Qualifications Strong electrical, mechanical, and control systems troubleshooting and repair skills. 3+ years of experience in field service or industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Associate's degree or technical certification in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., mechatronics, industrial automation). Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong customer service communication skills. Willingness and ability to travel extensively (e.g., 75%+) to customer sites. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and HMI configuration. Experience with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet) and basic IT troubleshooting. Familiarity with robotic systems, vision systems, or other advanced automation technologies. Ability to conduct customer training sessions and develop technical documentation. Fluency in a second language relevant to service territory.
