Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and policies to ensure regulatory compliance and promote a safe work environment. Conduct regular site inspections, hazard assessments, and internal audits to identify risks and ensure adherence to EHS standards. Investigate all EHS incidents, near misses, and accidents, determining root causes and implementing effective corrective actions. Deliver comprehensive EHS training programs to employees on topics such as hazard communication, lockout/tagout, and emergency response. Manage hazardous waste streams, ensuring proper storage, labeling, disposal, and record-keeping in accordance with environmental regulations. Maintain accurate EHS records, prepare regulatory reports, and track key performance indicators to monitor EHS performance. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related technical field. 3+ years of progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA). Proficiency in conducting hazard assessments, risk analysis, incident investigations, and EHS training programs. Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001). Bonus Qualifications ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 Internal Auditor certification. Experience with EHS management software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Sphera). Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Industrial Hygiene monitoring experience (e.g., noise, air quality, chemical exposure). Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to support a diverse workforce.
