Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and test embedded hardware and firmware for manufacturing equipment and control systems. Implement and optimize real-time operating systems (RTOS) and control algorithms for production line automation. Troubleshoot and debug embedded systems on the factory floor, identifying root causes of failures and implementing corrective actions. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to integrate embedded solutions into existing production processes and machinery. Develop and maintain robust firmware for industrial sensors, actuators, and communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT). Conduct validation and verification of embedded systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and operational reliability in high-volume production. Provide technical support and training for manufacturing personnel on embedded system operation and maintenance. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems development. Experience with microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, PIC) and their peripherals (SPI, I2C, UART, ADC, DAC). Familiarity with Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS) like FreeRTOS or Zephyr. Strong hardware debugging skills using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters. Understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, EtherCAT, PROFINET). Ability to read schematics, datasheets, and contribute to hardware/software integration and testing.
