Key Responsibilities Set up and operate EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) machines, including wire and sinker EDMs. Load, verify, and execute CNC programs for various EDM operations. Monitor machine performance, adjust parameters, and troubleshoot issues during operation. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications. Perform routine preventive maintenance on EDM machines and associated equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to determine job requirements. Select and prepare appropriate electrodes, wire, and dielectric fluids for specific machining tasks. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience operating and setting up EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges). Basic understanding of G-code and M-code for machine operation and minor program adjustments. Strong commitment to quality control and adherence to safety protocols. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for programming or design interpretation. Experience with precision metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator, surface finish gauges). Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting. Familiarity with other CNC machining processes (e.g., milling, grinding, turning).
