Key Responsibilities Set up and operate Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment, including wire and/or sinker machines. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining operations. Program EDM machines using G-code or CAM software to produce precision parts. Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of EDM machines and related equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions or programming errors. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience operating Wire and/or Sinker EDM machines in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and G-code for part specifications. Proficiency in setting up, loading, and unloading parts, electrodes, and wire accurately. Competence in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) for quality inspection. Understanding of EDM process parameters and ability to make adjustments for optimal performance.
