Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and technical specifications. Load raw material, adjust machine settings, and replace tooling as needed. Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments. Troubleshoot machine malfunctions, make necessary adjustments, and optimize processes. Monitor machine operation to ensure optimal performance, quality, and efficiency. Document production output, quality control data, and maintenance activities. Recommended Qualifications 2-3 years of proven experience operating and setting up multi-axis CNC Swiss-type lathes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, schematics, and GD&T specifications. Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, optical comparators) for quality control. Basic understanding of G-code and M-code for minor program adjustments and troubleshooting. Experience with tool offsets, tool changes, and routine machine maintenance. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency in G-code programming or advanced program editing. Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, vision systems). Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and perform minor mechanical/electrical repairs on CNC machinery. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or 5S methodology. Ability to train and mentor junior operators.
