CNC Mill Programmer | Charlotte, MI Salary Range: $53,000 - $87,000 depending on experience Are you a meticulous professional with a passion for excelling in cnc mill programmer? The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Charlotte seeking CNC Mill Programmers who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Create, test, and optimize CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines using CAM software. Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding strategies for various materials and part geometries. Develop efficient tool paths to minimize cycle times while maintaining part quality and machine safety. Perform program verification and simulation to detect and correct potential errors before machining. Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality control to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes. Generate setup sheets, tooling lists, and other necessary documentation for manufacturing operations. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for generating CNC programs. Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for manual programming, editing, and troubleshooting. Demonstrated experience with multi-axis (3, 4, and/or 5-axis) milling operations. Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, including GD&T specifications. Knowledge of various tooling, workholding methods, and material properties. Bonus Qualifications Experience with 5-axis simultaneous machining or other advanced machining strategies. Proficiency in G-code editing and optimization at the machine control. Familiarity with in-process probing or CMM programming. Experience with specific advanced CAD/CAM platforms (e.g., Siemens NX, Hypermill).
