These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities Develop, write, and optimize G-code programs for CNC lathes. Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices for machining operations. Perform program simulations and verifications to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and prevent collisions. Create detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and operational instructions for machinists. Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to troubleshoot and refine manufacturing processes. Implement continuous improvement strategies to reduce cycle times and enhance part quality. Maintain and update existing CNC programs and associated technical documentation. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, GibbsCAM) for generating CNC lathe programs. Strong ability to read, write, and edit G-code and M-code for CNC turning centers. Comprehensive understanding of CNC lathe operations, tooling, workholding, and material characteristics. Expertise in interpreting engineering blueprints, technical specifications, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Proven experience in optimizing machining processes, troubleshooting programs, and improving cycle times. Bonus Qualifications Experience with multi-axis mill-turn programming. Proficiency in post-processor editing and development. Demonstrated experience in custom fixture design or tooling optimization. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
