The Opportunity We are partnering with organizations in Hudsonville that are seeking CNC Mill Programmers. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis milling machines using CAD/CAM software. Design and select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining strategies for various materials. Perform program simulations and verifications to ensure collision avoidance and part accuracy. Collaborate with machinists to troubleshoot program issues and improve machining processes. Create and maintain detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and other production documentation. Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine optimal manufacturing methods. Continuously identify opportunities to reduce cycle times and improve part quality. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM). Strong understanding and application of G-code and M-code programming. Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and GD&T. Knowledge of cutting tools, workholding, and machining strategies for various materials. Proven experience in developing efficient and optimized CNC mill programs. Bonus Qualifications Experience with 5-axis programming or multi-axis machining. Proficiency in multiple CAM software platforms (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks CAM). Familiarity with various CNC machine controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, Heidenhain). Experience with post-processor development or customization. Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) principles and fixture design.
